Description : SSOP-20-208mil IrDA Transceiver Modules RoHS
Mfr. Part # : MCP2140AT-I/SS
Model Number : MCP2140AT-I/SS
Package : SSOP-20-208mil
The MCP2140A is a cost-effective, low pin count (18-pin), easy-to-use device for implementing IrDA standard wireless connectivity. It provides support for the IrDA standard protocol stack, bit encoding/decoding, and low-cost, discrete IR receiver circuitry. The MCP2140A is footprint compatible with the MCP2140. The serial and IR interface baud rates are fixed at 9600 baud. It operates in Data Communication Equipment (DCE) and Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) applications, residing between a UART and an infrared optical transceiver. The MCP2140A encodes an asynchronous serial data stream into infrared (IR) formatted pulses and decodes received IR pulses for the host controller. It supports point-to-point applications as a secondary device.
