The ALS31300 is a three-axis linear Hall-effect sensor IC that provides a 12-bit digital output proportional to the magnetic field along the X, Y, and Z axes. It is preconfigured for 3D sensing applications including head-on linear motion, slide-by position sensing, and rotation angle measurements. The device also features a joystick mode with a low-gain option for the Z-axis, enabling the use of back-bias magnets for return-to-zero force. With its highly configurable power management, including a 14 nA typical sleep mode current, the ALS31300 is well-suited for portable, battery-operated applications.
