The APS11450 is a three-wire planar Hall-effect sensor IC designed for automotive safety-related systems, compliant with ISO 26262:2011 for ASIL B capability. It features an enhanced three-wire interface with open/short diagnostics and a fault state for robust communication. The sensor offers continuous background diagnostics for reduced fault tolerant time and comes with multiple product options including magnetic switch points, temperature coefficient, hysteresis, and output polarity, compatible with various magnet types. Its design minimizes module BOM and assembly costs while providing automotive-grade ruggedness and fault tolerance, including extended AEC-Q100 Grade 0 qualification for operation up to 175C junction temperature.
