The Broadcom ezPyro SMD I2C Pyroelectric IR sensors are designed for high-sensitivity, rapid flame detection. These thin-film digital sensors integrate configurable electronics in a compact SMD package, offering a high dynamic range for detecting flames of various sizes and distances. They feature a digital current-mode readout with high responsivity across the 3 to 30 Hz flame flicker frequency range. Programmable gain and filtering provide design flexibility, while industry-standard I2C communication ensures plug-and-play connectivity to microcontrollers for easy tuning and calibration. These sensors are noted for their long-term stability, ensuring a maintenance-free operational lifespan. Various optical filter options are available, and devices can be daisy-chained for synchronized sampling. Low-power modes are also supported.
