Product Overview

The MIC184 is a versatile digital thermal supervisor that measures local and remote temperatures. It offers pin and software backward compatibility to the LM75, featuring a 9-bit Sigma-Delta ADC and a 2-wire I2C/SMBus compatible interface. Programmable thermostatic settings, an open-drain comparator/interrupt output, interrupt mask and status bits, and a low-power shutdown mode are included. It supports fail-safe response to diode faults, operates from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply, and allows up to eight devices to share the same bus. Applications include desktop, server, and notebook computers, printers, copiers, test and measurement equipment, and consumer electronics.
