The Microchip Technology Inc. MCP9800/1/2/3 family of digital temperature sensors are high-accuracy, low-power devices that convert temperature to a digital word. Operating from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply, these sensors offer user-selectable resolution from 9 to 12 bits and feature a 2-wire I2C/SMBus compatible interface. With typical accuracy of 0.5C at +25C and a wide operating temperature range of -55C to +125C, they are ideal for various temperature monitoring applications in personal computers, servers, entertainment systems, and mobile phones. The integrated alert output provides a configurable signal for thermostat or interrupt functions.
