The MTS4-OW and MTS4B-OW are high-precision digital-analog mixed-signal temperature sensing chips that eliminate the need for user calibration. Leveraging CMOS semiconductor PN junction temperature characteristics and bandgap voltage, these chips offer exceptional accuracy (up to 0.1), fast response, low power consumption, and a wide operating range from -103C to +153C. Featuring a built-in 16-bit ADC with 0.004C resolution, each chip is factory-calibrated and equipped with a unique 64-bit ID. Communication is facilitated via a single-wire (One Wire, OW) digital bus protocol, requiring only one GPIO port for access to ID search, temperature data, and configuration. This low-cost, distributed sensing solution supports up to 100 nodes in a daisy-chain network spanning 100 to 500 meters. The chips also include non-volatile E2PROM for storing ID, alarm thresholds, calibration coefficients, and user-defined information, enhancing system flexibility and longevity.
