OMRON D6T MEMS Thermal Sensors offer contactless temperature measurement by detecting radiant energy from objects. These sensors are capable of detecting the slightest temperature changes, providing a direct temperature value output for easy software design. They feature world's highest-class stable temperature output and low noise, achieved through the integration of in-house designed and manufactured ASIC and MEMS thermopile elements. The sensors utilize the seebeck effect to generate thermoelectric force, converting infrared radiation in the 8-12 m range into temperature readings. This technology allows for the detection of both stationary and moving objects, unlike pyroelectric sensors which rely on motion detection. Applications range from home appliances and human presence detection to fever screening and abnormal high temperature monitoring in industrial equipment.
